Interior

Monaco Coatings’ interior paint range is crafted to transform Uganda’s living spaces with lasting beauty and enduring performance. Whether you are painting a serene master bedroom, a vibrant children’s playroom, or a professional office environment, our interior products deliver rich, consistent colour and a finish that stands up to the demands of everyday life. Every formula is developed with Uganda’s tropical climate in mind — resisting humidity, reducing mould growth, and maintaining colour integrity in warm temperatures year-round.

From our premium Vinyl Silk for high-traffic rooms to the classic depth of Matt Emulsion for ceilings and feature walls, our interior range offers something for every surface, every budget, and every vision. Each product is tintable across Monaco’s full colour palette, giving you the freedom to match any design scheme — from the bold and contemporary to the soft and traditional. Our low-VOC formulations also ensure safer indoor air quality for your family, staff, or clients from the very first coat.

Our Benefits

Monaco interior paints are engineered to go the distance. Every tin delivers consistent coverage, rich colour depth, and a finish that holds up beautifully against Uganda's humid conditions — from the first brushstroke to years down the line.
Superior coverage — up to 12 m² per litre with just two coats.
Washable and stain-resistant finishes for busy rooms & kitchens.
Humidity-resistant formula — stays mould-free in tropical conditions.

What is the difference between Matt Emulsion and Vinyl Silk?

Matt Emulsion gives a flat, non-reflective finish that absorbs light and hides surface imperfections beautifully — ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, and ceilings. Vinyl Silk has a subtle sheen that reflects light slightly, creating a smoother, more refined look. Because of its sheen, Vinyl Silk is far easier to wipe clean, making it the preferred choice for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and any room with high footfall or regular cleaning demands.

How many coats of interior paint will I need?

For best results, we always recommend two coats of Monaco interior paint over a properly primed surface. On new plaster or bare walls, apply a coat of Monaco Surface Primer first, then two finish coats. If you are painting a dark colour over a lighter one, or vice versa, two coats are essential for even coverage. Allow each coat to dry fully — usually 1 to 2 hours under normal Ugandan conditions — before applying the next.

Can Monaco interior paints be used in kitchens and bathrooms?

Yes — Monaco Vinyl Silk is our top recommendation for kitchens and bathrooms. Its mid-sheen finish resists moisture, steam, and splashes, and it can be wiped clean without damaging the surface. In these high-humidity spaces, it is critical to also ensure good ventilation and to apply the paint over a properly prepared, primed surface. Our Water-Based Undercoat is specifically formulated to improve adhesion and reduce moisture penetration in damp-prone areas.
